Patrons devastated after city pub destroyed by fire
THE Mill Street Tavern was a "good little pub" that will be missed, according to regulars at the venue.
Locals have reacted with sadness after learning of the demise of one of the city's favourite watering holes, after it was consumed by flames around 11.30pm.
Josh Ward, who works at a nearby shopfitters on Campbell St, said he had been eating at the pub only yesterday.

"We'll have to find another watering hole," he said.
"We've had a couple of birthday parties down there - we were only there for Sunday lunch.
"It was a good little pub, it had a really good atmosphere."

David Harms, who would head down to the Mill St Tavern for a drink occasionally, said he felt for owner Jason Smith.
"My cousin and I have been going since Smithy's owned it," he said.
"I used to go here most Fridays. What I saw here was a working man's pub.
