Photographic exhibition on show in Mundubbera

MUNDUBBERA Art Gallery hosted the opening of its latest exhibition, I Told You So, by Kathrin Dierich recently.

The display of photographic pieces will remain in the gallery until January 5, 2019.

Through her photographs, Ms Dierich seeks to capture the essence of a scene and record the silent conversation between the photographer and the subject.

The images enable Ms Dierich to process her thoughts while using what she calls "visual listening” in which nature relates its stories to her.

The collection is a constantly growing and evolving body of work depicting her conversation with nature.

Ms Dierich started photography in the mid 80s after studying the art at the Freie University Berlin. She has worked throughout Europe, North Africa and Australia.

Ms Dierich has worked in photojournalism, stage photography, has produced actors' and artists' portfolios, created photographic reproductions of artists' works for clients and galleries, and has worked on architecture and interior design photography for companies such as IKEA.
