Police find driver lying on footpath after midmorning crash

A 21-year old Kingaroy woman has been charged after allegedly driving with a drug utensil in her car before crashing it into a gutter.

On Wednesday July 8 at 11.20am, police intercepted a Holden sedan that had crashed on Albert street.

Police allege the woman was found lying on the footpath and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Police searched the vehicle allegedly finding a drug utensil.

The woman was transported to Kingaroy hospital where a sample of blood was taken.

She will face Kingaroy Magistrates court on August 30 charged with the alleged possession of a drug utensil.

Investigations are ongoing and police are awaiting a result from the blood test.
