Police investigating fatal traffic crash at Cannonvale

A MAN who was the passenger in a vehicle was rushed to Proserpine Hospital but was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

Police said information indicates around 4.15pm, a car was travelling on Parkview Terrace when it left the roadway and crashed near the intersection of Illawong St.

He was a a 42-year-old Cannonvale man.

The driver, a 46-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to Proserpine Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
