Police vehicle written off after collision in Toowoomba

POLICE are continuing to investigate the cause of crash which wrote off a marked police vehicle.

Around 6.15pm Saturday evening, a marked police vehicle was travelling along Platz St when it was involved in a collision with a car travelling on Wuth St.

Both vehicles suffered significant damage, and the driver of the car, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to the Toowoomba Hospital with chest injuries.

The four passengers in the woman's vehicle, a 29-year-old woman, 48-year-old man, two boys aged seven and 13 and two police officers were treated for minor injuries.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
