Power outage tomorrow in Gayndah
MORE than 100 Ergon Energy customers in Gayndah will lose power tomorrow as part of scheduled network maintenance.
The outage will last from 9am-2.30pm, but 161 customers have been advised these times are approximate only and are subject to change depending upon circumstances.
"This interruption is necessary to replace power poles and improve the electricity network,” Bundaberg Burnett area manager Tim Baker said.
"It is recommended to disconnect sensitive electrical appliances like PCs and TVs during an interruption.”
The outage will affect customers on Oxford St, Dalgangal Rd, Juliet St, Fairview St, Rifle Range Rd, Petaluma Ct, Seeney St, Bridge St, Adelong St, High St, Station St, Carey St, Cordelia St, John Taylors Rd, National St, Frances St, Mary St, Tony Lutvey Ave, Walker St and Elliott St.
Although the network maintenance will be unlikely to involve Ergon Energy employees entering individual premises, Mr Baker used the opportunity to remind customers about new safe entry rules.
"If there is an unrestrained dog on the premise our crews will not enter the property,” he said.
Examples Mr Baker offered of dogs being suitably restrained included being indoors, on a firm leash, or behind a secure barrier.
