Massive $60m Powerball up for grabs

THE Lott has revealed the most drawn numbers of the last 25 draws ahead of tomorrow's $60 million Powerball prize - its third highest jackpot so far in 2018.

Tomorrow night's draw comes less than three months after the record-breaking $100 million Powerball draw, which was won by a young man from Melbourne and a hardworking Sydney dad.

While it is a random game of chance, with every number having an equal chance of being drawn, the Lott revealed that for the main barrel, where seven winning numbers are drawn from 35, the "hot: number is 32, having come out of the gate 12 times, or almost every second draw, since April, while the number 25 has made an appearance nine times.

The "cold" numbers that have barely made it out of the barriers during the past six months are 12, 26 and 11.

For the separate Powerball barrel, where a single Powerball number between one and 20 is drawn, the number 3 has been drawn more than any other during recent draws.

Thursday night’s $60 million jackpot is the country’s third highest jackpot so far in 2018.

Mr Hart said Powerball players needed to decide if this might impact their entry in tomorrow night's draw.

"The big question is - do you choose hot numbers in the hope that they live up to their reputation of being most frequently drawn, or do you back the cold numbers believing they're now up for the race?" Mr Hart said.

"Either way, we're expecting a surge of entries as Australians line up for their chance to win a share of $60 million."

One-in-five Aussie adults are expected to have an entry in the draw. It's been six weeks since Powerball crowned its last division one multi-millionaire, spurring the game's jackpot to fly to $60 million.

The Lott's division one winning tally across all Australian lottery games has now reached 137 this financial year.

Tickets can be purchased at any licensed lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via the Lott mobile app.
