Quiet achievers excel in Monto

A HARD-working academic, cultural, and sporting year for students has paid off at the Monto State High School Awards Night.

Held on the evening of November 11, multiple students were recognised for their efforts throughout the year.

Monto principal Kylie Cochran was ecstatic with her students, saying they were deserving of their awards.

"All of the recipients have shown they're fantastic, and they've achieved these awards with great success," Mrs Cochran said.

Special praise was reserved for the Year 12 Dux, Bridget Farmer, who also received awards for academic excellence.

"Bridget is a quiet achiever at our school, who is very dedicated and focused.

"After all of the hard work she's put in, she is certainly deserving of this award."
