Elderly driver killed in rollover near Coominya

LATEST: A man has died in a single vehicle traffic crash at Coominya on Monday afternoon

Preliminary investigations suggest that around 4.40pm, a vehicle travelling along Rocky Gully Rd has, for unknown reasons, left the road and overturned.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man believed to be in his 80s, died at the scene.

Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.

 

EARLIER: There are grave concerns for the driver of a vehicle which has crashed at Coominya this afternoon.

Police say a person is trapped in a car which has crashed onto its roof on Rocky Gully Rd.

The crash was reported about 4.40pm.

Paramedics are on their way to the scene.
