RESULTS: Monto Silver Buckle wrap-up

THE Monto Silver Buckle Challenge was held over the weekend, and the Times has the final wrap-up of results from the campdraft.

Jon Templeton won the Classic Challenge astride Wrights Tophat Applause, with the pair scoring 326.681 across their runs.

They finished ahead of Templeton again in second place, this time on Sweet Romance with a score of 322.409, and Cody Stevens aboard This Cats Slick, who rounded out the top three with a score of 317.272.

The Open Challenge was won by Mundubbera's Leah Read on her horse Peptocat, with the duo managing a score of 349.681.

James Moorhead finished second on Style N Blues, scoring 344.545, whilst Theresa Lawrence came in third astride Enigma with a score of 343.355.

The Rookie Challenge was taken out by Gina Hamilton, who was riding Read's Peptocat, with the pair mustering a score of 333.227.

Second place fell to Darrin Jones on Fancy Tassa, scoring 332.727, ahead of third-placed Lachlan Rockemer and his horse Teak N Acre, who finished up on 330.318.

The Junior Challenge was won by Katie Davies astride Sandi and Leah Read's Maid of Honour with a score of 156.81.

Davies also managed second on Whitchery's Little Lena, finishing on 155.31, with Justin Smith riding Leo's Mister Lena into third place with a score of 153.25.

The Futurity Draft saw Mitchell Lansdowne take the gold on Chisums Vesty, with Leah Read scoring the silver on her horse Maid of Honour, and Scott Schoo bagging the bronze atop Telescopic.

Darby Ryan won the Juvenile Challenge, riding Stylish Joe to a score of 173, just pipping Jacinta Rockemer and Destinys Sweet As Candy (Liqourice) at the post, with that pairing managing a score of 172.687, before Matthew Davies and his horse Whitchery's Little Lena rounded out the top three with 171.312.

The Novice Campdraft was taken out by Darrin Jones, again riding Fancy Tassa, ahead of Joshua Smith on his horse Reys Dual Oak, and Michelle Atkinson with Ellendale Seralena.
