Retirement home toasts 'hugely successful' cent sale
RIDGEHAVEN Retirement Complex in Monto says their cent sale fundraiser on Saturday was "hugely successful”.
Activities officer Martin Hall said the main lounge and dining area was "packed with people of all ages from the local community and residents”.
"People came along and joined in the fun meeting the Residents and catching up with friends.
"Many fabulous pieces were offered all graciously donated by beautiful people.”
The cent sale was run by the Residents and Friends committee, which will use the fundraising to assist the residents with worthy projects and purchase items for the facility.
Mr Hall said the event was "hugely successful” and included raffle and lucky door prizes.
He said Ridgehaven was a not-for-profit organisation run by the local community.
