Seccombe to coach Queensland Bulls
FORMER long-serving wicketkeeper Wade Seccombe is the new coach of the Queensland Bulls.
Seccombe, 45, has taken the role vacated recently by Phil Jaques who returned to Sydney with a year remaining on his contract due to family reasons.
Seccombe narrowly missed the role when Stuart Law was appointed before Jaques.
He has always been a popular and well respected member of the Queensland set-up and stood behind the stumps for Queensland's first four Sheffield Shield title wins including the famous drought-breaker of 1994-95.
Seccombe has resigned his position on the Queensland Cricket board to accept the coaching post.
Seccombe played 115 matches for Queensland though but did not play a frontline match for Australia even though his talents were worthy of it.
