Large amounts of rain recorded after North Burnett storm
UPDATE: A large storm that hit the North Burnett on Sunday afternoon brought with it a large amount of rain.
Jamie Peters recorded 73mm of rain at Kantaka, near Kalpowar.
Mr Peters said on Facebook the storm cut off his power and phone lines.
Ev Power said she recorded 65mm on Kalpowar Road.
45mm was recorded at the Glenloch property on the Burnett Highway near Eidsvold and 20mm was recorded at Kerwee, also near Eidsvold.
The forecast is mostly sunny for the rest of the week, with a top of 34 degrees on Friday.
There is a 90% chance of less than 1mm of rain on Friday, with varying chances throughout the week.
A SEVERE thunderstorm warning was issued on Sunday afternoon for parts of South East Queensland, which included the North Burnett.
In a statement, the Bureau of Meteorology said thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones over the next several hours.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should move your car under cover or away from trees, secure loose outdoor items, seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees, avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm and beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
