Show is a huge success in the Burnett

THE Mundubbera Show was a huge success at the weekend with show officials optimistic there was a good turn-out, despite clashing with Beef week in Rockhampton.

Show president Ashley Maeyke said numbers were a bit down compared to the 2017 show but everything was smooth sailing.

"I thought we had a good turn-out at the show,” Mr Maeyke said.

"Due to Beef Week in Rockhampton our numbers were a bit down but that's alright.

"The weather held up, horse numbers were up and campdraft numbers were good.”

The program featured campdrafting on Friday with a good turn-out from campdrafters that ensured it was another successful event.

Nickleby the magician amazed crowds with his talent that left many unanswered questions from the audience as to how he did it.

Results for the show day will be featured in the Central and North Burnett Times on Thursday.

Mr Maeyke thanked the participation of the whole community, sponsors, cattle donors, stewards and volunteers.

"We're looking forward to the 2019 show,” he said.
