WELL-KNOWN performer Cilla Slack will entertain the elderly residents across the North Burnett this month.

Young At Heart, which is produced by Blue Gum Farm TV, the series of concerts is the first of its kind and has been supported by the North Burnett RADF committee.

Ms Slack, a fourth generation farmer said the idea came from her Blue Gum Farm TV show.

"I was inspired by the opportunity to create a show purely for elderly residents in our area and celebrate their contribution to out communities and industries throughout their life,” Ms Slack said.

Ms Slack said the audience could expect quality music.

"The concerts include the same beautiful music and fun songs that you have come to expect from a Blue Gum Farm concert, but the themes and stories are all about the olden days and celebrating our elders and their lives on the land,” she said.

"It is also a wonderful time to bring together the elderly members of the community with pre-school aged children and their families.

"This concert is open to all members of the community so come along and enjoy a yarn or two (plus lots of songs and dancing) with some very special people.”

Numbers are limited so this is strictly an RSVP event, contact to reserve your spot.
