Smashing awakening for Biggenden pub

BUSTED windows at Biggenden's Commercial Hotel have been described by its owner as straight-out vandalism.

Col Johnston found the shattered mess as he headed into the hotel on Monday morning.

He found the glass in the front doors and a side door of the building smashed.

Mr Johnson said the hotel had a great celebration on the Sunday night.

"Everyone was in, watching the footy grand final and in great spirits," he said.

On Tuesday Mr Johnston said all he could feel was disappointment.

"I can't believe the mentality of some people," he said.

Maryborough Scenes of Crime attended the scene on Monday morning.

Investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.
