Social bowls in Gayndah

BOWLS: Muriel Glover has found herself atop the leader board at the Gayndah social bowls, held every Thursday at Gayndah RSL.

Glover took out the night with three wins and 58 points to beat out runner-up Beryl Palmer, who got three wins and 50 points.

Rene Taylor was the second runner-up after securing 50 points to edge out Dawn Bramer on 45 points.

Closing out the players who totalled 40 or more points was Gary Taylor, who managed a score of 41 points.

Dawn Sullivan (36), Phillip Grambower (34), Maria Hunt (34) and Kit George (30) all rounded out the players who finished in the 30s.

Fred Maxwell was just behind with 28 points to equal Rita Davis, who also posted a score of 28.

Social bowls games are played every Thursday night at the Gayndah RSL sub-branch from 7pm and new players or spectators are always encouraged to get involved and have some fun.
