Storm leaves hundreds of homes in the dark

MORE than 466 customers lost power in the North Burnett last night, and crews are continuing to conduct repairs caused by storm damage.

The large weather system was attributed to the power outage which affected those in the Biggenden, Dallarnil, and Degilbo areas.

An Ergon Energy spokesman said the majority of customers were back online, but 54 customers were still without power.

“Due to some damages from last night’s storm, our crews are onsite now making repairs,” he said.

“The locations of the powerlines are making it difficult for them at the moment as they’re in dense bushland, but power should be restored soon.”

Other areas affected include:

- Booyal Dallarnil Rd

- Booyal Rd

- Bullock Head Rd

- Emerys Rd

- Grills Rd

- Isis Why

- Lawgalls Rd

- Mount Goonaneman Rd

- Old Range Rd

- Repeater Rd

- Smiths Rd

- Stanton Harcourt Rd.

If you see any damaged networks or powerlines, report them to Ergon on 13 22 96.

If you have fallen powerlines on your property, do not approach them, and dial triple-0 immediately.
