The whole North Burnett was plunged into darkness.

Luckily, a generator was next door at the council administration office, and the show went on with two lights and the sound system, after an early intermission of about 40 minutes.

"We were very grateful for the sound and lighting team (and my amazing husband Justin) for working out a way the show could still continue," dance teacher Laura Kronk said.

Miss Laura said her dancers did a "super job" dealing with the interruption and also the boiling heat.

"They kept their energy really high," she said.

"All the students did an amazing job and I was very proud of them all."

The Mundubbera Finale is on this Saturday in the Mundubbera Community Hall.
