Terminators to take on Geometrix in final
GEOMETRIX and Terminators will contest the final of the Gayndah Senior Netball competition after the Terminators put away the Allsorts in the major semi-final on Monday.
Gayndah Netball Association secretary Chris Duncan said the semi-final was "exciting and fast paced”.
"Allsorts struggled in the first quarter against Terminators' strong circle defence, only able to shoot three goals against Terminators' 11,” she said.
"The second quarter was a closer competition with Allsorts shooting six goals to Terminators eight.
"Third and fourth quarters reflected the first with Allsorts shooters struggling to score.
"The centre court was hotly contested with ball moving quickly from one end to the other.
"Terminators shooters Georgia Laidler and Courtney Bryant worked well together and the accuracy of Georgia's shooting, netting 23 of 28, proved to be the difference in the game.”
Terminators won their preliminary final 24-16 against Aqua Bullets, while Geometrix defeated Allsorts 39-31.
The preliminary finals were umpired by four Hervey Bay umpires who each year come for finals.
The final will be at 6.30pm Monday on the St Joseph's netball courts.
