Three injured in suburban shooting

THREE men have been taken to hospital after being shot at a home in Melbourne.

Police said it appeared the men, aged 26, 28 and 37, were involved in an altercation with two men at a Westmeadows home before the shots were fired.

Two of the men received non-threatening gunshot wounds to the legs and the third was shot in the upper torso.

The attackers fled in a dark sedan soon after the gunshots were heard.

One neighbour reported hearing eight to 10 shots and seeing multiple cars and motorbikes pursuing the shooter's car.

Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating.
