Tourism workshops coming to the North Burnett

FREE workshops will be run throughout the North Burnett in the next few weeks for residents to learn more about how to get the most benefit out of the region's tourism.

Tourism guru James Corvan, Indulge owner Amanda Hinds and digital specialist Liz Ward will be the guests at the touring event.

Ms Hinds was the winner of the Queensland People's Choice Good Food Guide Award and looks forward to sharing her passion of using local produce and discussing opportunities in culinary tourism.

Ms Ward will share basics on how to connect and engage with visitors through social media.

Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism general manager Katherine Mergard said anyone interested in optimising tourism will benefit from attending a session.

"These workshops are all about maximising the value of drive tourism to the region, understanding visitor needs, how to connect digitally with visitors and with an additional focus on showcasing local, seasonal produce," she said.

"It's a great opportunity to hear from some very successful operators in the industry and have a chat about how to make the most of drive tourism for your community."
