WATCH: truck crashes through fence at medical centre
HEAVY rain has caused the driver of a truck and trailer to lose control and plough through the fence of Flinders Peak Medical Centre in Purga on his way home this afternoon.
Acting Senior Sergeant Sam Silcock attended the scene and said it was lucky no one was hurt in the single vehicle crash which occurred at about 4pm.
"The incident occurred in very heavy rain. The driver slipped and lost control on the wet road," she said.
"He has hit the front fence of the medical centre but no other vehicles were damaged and no one was injured."
The crash caused a complete stop on Ipswich Boonah Rd with traffic backed up for kilometres.
The vehicle is now being towed from the scene.
