Two people flown to Brisbane after accident at Fairbairn Dam

UPDATE 8.35AM: TWO people who were injured at a boating event at the Fairbairn Dam are in a serious condition. 

The man, aged in his 50s,  and the woman, believed to be in her 30s, were transported to Brisbane overnight. 

 

YESTERDAY 4PM: TWO people are being transported to Emerald Hospital and could potentially be flown to Brisbane overnight after an accident at Fairbairn Dam Rd, Gindie this afternoon. 

Authorities confirmed an accident involving a watercraft occurred just before 4pm at Gindie, 30km outside of Emerald. 

Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed two patients, a male in his 50s and a female in her 30s, were transported to Emerald Hospital but could be flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service out of Emerald. 

The spokesperson confirmed the man had sustained serious injuries and the woman was in a stable condition.
