UPDATE: Stolen vehicle found but man still on the run

UPDATE: Queensland police media spokesman have confirmed the black Mitsubishi Triton stolen from Blackbutt earlier in the week has been located however the culprit is still on the run.

At 10.30am on Tuesday November 6, a police spokesman advised a black Mitsubishi Triton dual cab which had earlier been stolen at knife point had been located in Brooklands.

Police are still searching for a man in his 20s.

EARLIER: At about 1.30am Tuesday November 6, the owner of a black Mitsubishi Triton dual cab was travelling with a man in his 20s when the passenger produced a knife and stole the vehicle, a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.

The spokesman said the vehicle was last seen heading from Nanango travelling west towards Kingaroy at approximately 5.20am Tuesday morning.

The man is known to police.

The police had a partial number plate of the vehicle, 304***.
