SUNSHINE coast locals from land and sea found Mooloolaba Spit the perfect place for a sunset dinner on Sunday.
As they tucked into their grub along the seaside as the sun went down, a dolphin decided to try its luck with a fast-moving school of fish at the water's edge.
Its fin popped up at first for a moment, before circling around in its hunt for fresh prey.
The dolphin did some quick splashing among the gently breaking waves while the tide was high, no doubt catching a few fish about to have a rough end to the weekend.
