WA Liberal spill falls short
THE bid to oust West Australian Premier Colin Barnett failed mis- erably yesterday when a call for a leadership spill was defeated 31-15.
Former transport and agriculture minister Dean Nalder, who had been angling for the top job, congratulated the Premier, saying he had a "great track record” over eight years.
Mr Barnett (pictured) told reporters he accepted criticism of his leadership style. "I think sometimes because I like to get on with the job and deal with issues quickly, maybe people think I don't listen enough and I accept that,” he said.
