Warm up your vocal cords for Monto karaoke night

START rehearsing in the shower and get ready to belt out your favourite tunes because karaoke is coming to Monto this weekend.

British backpackers Bec Knight and Nat Chamberlain have put together a karaoke night that will kick off at the Grand Hotel from 7pm this Saturday night, May 26.

Made possible thanks to the generous support of Goondicum Pastoral Co, proceeds from the event's raffle and auction will be donated to RACQ LifeFlight, a charity close to the heart of many North Burnett residents.

As the bartenders' time in Monto comes to an end, the girls decided to come up with a way to say thank you.

"We wanted to plan something fun for the locals before we leave,” Ms Chamberlain said.

"It's nice to give back to the community and show our appreciation for how welcoming the people have been to us.

"I know that LifeFlight is a charity that has helped a lot of the families of friends we have made here.”

So far the pair have managed to raise more than $600 of their $3000 goal.

There will be plenty of great raffle prizes up for grabs on the night, and Brad McInally will auction off an impressive list of items including a two-night stay at Cania's Big4 Holiday Park, signed Johnathan Thurston memorabilia and a Bundaberg Rum swag.
