Where you can meet the candidates

RESIDENTS in the North Burnett will now be given the opportunity to quiz their potential candidates before election day on March 28.

Mt Perry, Monto and Gayndah have booked in dates for their candidates evenings, inviting potential councillors in surrounding divisions to attend.

The evenings are open to all community members who would like their questions answered on the issues that are important to them.

Mt Perry’s will be held at their shire hall on Monday March 9, opening at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.

With incumbent councillor John Bowen retiring, division five candidates Michael Dingle and David Rofe joining.

Monto’s meet the candidates evening will be held on Monday March 16 at the Monto Shire Hall, starting at 7.30pm.

Held by the Monto and District Ratepayers and Residents Association, the mayor, division one and division two candidates will be invited.

Invites have also been sent to all potential candidates in the North Burnett region.

The Gayndah Development Association will then be holding their candidates evening on Tuesday, March 17 at the Gayndah Town Hall.

Starting at 7pm, Nita Kreis, Amanda Wenck, and Dael Giddins from division four will be in attendance.

Division five candidates David Rofe and Michael Dingle will also be in attendance.

The final day of the election is March 28.
