MY WIFE will verify that I am far from a cleanliness freak.
I do my bit, however, and have no trouble picking up the tea-towel after dinner (she might like to argue the point on this, but this is my column).
So the question I ask myself is why do people who leave their dirty plates and utensils in the staff kitchen sink annoy me so much.
Yes I will put my hand up and say that I am a tea room kitchen Nazi.
To me those who just leave dirty plates and cups sitting around aren't showing respect for their fellow workers.
It hasn't mattered what office I have worked in, it's a common problem that surfaces everywhere.
It is usually left to just a few people who care to do the dirty work and unpack the dishwasher and stack the dirty plates ready for cleaning.
I know this is not the greatest drama facing mankind, but of everything that happens at work this is the issue that annoys me the most.
Now I have got this off my chest, I'll zip across to the kitchen and write another note chastising those who believe if you fill up a dirty plate with water and dishwashing liquid it will miraculously wash itself.
It doesn't work, I know because I did it as a child and mum explained to me the proper process with the help of a wooden spoon.
