Two women suffer chest injuries in multi-vehicle crash

UPDATE 12.05PM: Two women have suffered chest injuries and will be taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in the Caloundra area. 

The vehicles collided on Maltman St North, Moffat Beach, about 11.30am. 

Paramedics have assessed the two women and a man involved in the crash. 

The man was uninjured, but both women were suffering chest pain and have been taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions. 

BREAKING: A woman has reportedly sustained chest injuries in a two-vehicle crash in the Caloundra area. 

Paramedics are now on the scene of the two-vehicle crash at Maltman St North, Moffat Beach, just north of the Queen St intersection. 

Paramedics are assessing an unknown number of motorists involved in the crash, and have not yet confirmed initial reports a woman suffered chest injuries. 

It was the second serious crash on Sunshine Coast roads in less than an hour, after a woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries in Buderim.
