Woman suffers ‘significant’ leg injury in smash

Two women have been rushed to hospital after their vehicles collided at Pelican Waters on Friday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the intersection of Pelican Waters Blvd and Lady Diana Cres about 2.35pm.

She said a woman in her 20s suffered a significant leg injury and was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition with a critical care paramedic on board.

Another woman in her 40s suffered arm and facial injuries.

She was taken to SCUH in a stable condition.
