WATCH: World’s first mobile piano bar stops in Hervey Bay

A PIANO is the last thing you expect to find on a bus.

Hervey Bay locals were lucky enough to experience the latest crazy and wonderful idea from AAT Kings yesterday when the bus stopped into the city during a road trip across Australia in the world's first mobile piano bar.

About 40 people toured the bus when it pulled in at Stockland, some having the chance to belt out a few tunes.

"We had one guy come back with his music book to crank out some Billy Joel," AAT State Sales Manager Niki Steadman said.

The Fraser Coast Chronicle's digital producer Amy Formosa had the chance to do a small duet with the Sydney pianist Ash Moore on board the bus (watch video).

Travelling from Sydney to Mackay, back down to Adelaide, across to Melbourne, back up through regional Victoria and everywhere in between, the mobile piano bar shows locals what an AAT Kings luxury coach looks and feels like, bring staff to the regions to answer any questions and to showcase some amazing piano tunes for locals to enjoy.
